Local author Melissa Trombetta is bringing the spirit of Saratoga Springs to life in her latest novel, The Summer Place to Be, now available at Impressions of Saratoga.

Through this local partnership, a portion of proceeds from each book sold will benefit Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, connecting readers to both a Saratoga-inspired story and a meaningful community impact.

Inspired by Trombetta’s time visiting Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, equine-assisted therapy became a central emotional thread within the novel.

“There’s a kind of clarity that comes from standing beside a twelve-hundred-pound horse that responds to your energy and emotions with unfiltered honesty,” said Trombetta. “Experiencing equine therapy firsthand deepened my understanding of what healing can really look like and transformed the way I wrote the protagonist's journey, while also teaching me things about myself that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I’m incredibly grateful for the work THS does in this community, and it’s an honor to support them.”

Community members will have the opportunity to meet Melissa Trombetta in person on Saturday, June 20. She will be at Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. offering book signings and meeting guests at the farm. Later that evening, Trombetta will be at Impressions of Saratoga from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for an additional book signing event. Guests are encouraged to stop by, meet the author, and pick up a signed copy of The Summer Place to Be, all while supporting retired racehorses and the mental health and wellness programs that Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga provides right here in our community.
